Good late period Akina! I love this as well as "Belie"...see can still do the open slower stuff. Thanks for the previous Momoe too...lots of songs on it referencing London/UK. Impossible to think of two divas like them appearing now. They are both closely linked in my mind...Akina superceding Momoe for a bit but ultimately being trapped by the industry whereas Momoe transcended it. (You can tell I have too much time on my hands in lockdown!). Thank you again :)
ReplyDeleteTa for the comment - certainly so Momoe transcended the industry and that turned her into a legend that continues to this day. Akina is has been in the industry since 1982 and she is still about, probably will be about until the fat lady sings. Much time during that lockdown could be used to catch up on all the listening that had been missed. More Momoe to come - in the meantime just keep on keeping on. It is now time for beer and bangers.
