  1. Again, what a an absolute treat! Like you, this may be may favourite Momoe but also have a soft-spot for Dramatic and 春告鳥 (amazing guitar sound). This is the quintessential "West Coast" sound....even though there's hardly a westcoast musician in it!

    1. Interestingly the album was recorded at Filmways/Heider Recording on N Cahuenga Blv., LA, and at
Larrabee Sound Studios on Lankershim Blvd. N. Hollywood, and at Kendun Recorders on South Glenwood Place, Burbank. The sessions did use west coast musicians - I understand the entire brass / woodwinds and rhythm sections were guys from the west coast. I am really partial to this west coast sound as I am partial to west coast bands - and perhaps to the hints of the 'city-pop' sound in the album. I am glad you enjoy the album - and thanks for the discussion. Nevertheless - Watch this space for 春告鳥 in FLAC.

    2. Yes, that's right. All over westcoast stuff too...presume you know "Miss M" by Mariya Takeuchi which has all the west coast royalty on it....

    3. Certainly so with the likes of David Hungate of Toto (on bass) - especially on Boz Scaggs 'Silk Degrees' - a album that I still am very fond of.
